As Sereias (The Mermaids)
As Sereias (The Mermaids) is Samba do Mar’s Community Dance Performance Ensemble. Members are dedicated to continuous training and performing with the utmost respect for Brazilian culture. The ensemble consists of dancers from a variety of backgrounds and many have been studying for years with acclaimed Brazilian Dancer professionals from Rio de Janeiro and Salvador, Bahia.

Community Student Team
Are you interested in training and potentially performing with Samba do Mar Humboldt?

Samba do Mar Humboldt accepts applications for our Community Student Team on a rolling basis. Members of the Student Team take local community Samba and Afro-Brazilian Dance Classes consistently and participate in periodic choreography workshops. The Student Team performs with As Sereias Performance Dance Ensemble at various community events throughout the year.
